What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is best described as a very deep state of relaxation.  Hypnosis is a normal, natural healthy state of mind.  Often referred to as a “state of focused consciousness”. 

What happens in Hypnosis?

A HypnoCounselor uses hypnosis to enable the client to achieve a state of mental, physical and emotional relaxation.

When in hypnosis, the conscious mind (the busy, critical, analytical part of the mind) takes a rest.  Hypnosis allows people to go deeper into the subconscious mind (sometimes referred to the unconscious mind) to achieve positive changes to thought patterns, habits or the effects of traumatic incidents that are having a negative impact on the persons’ everyday life.

What does hypnosis feel like?

Hypnosis feels like the most wonderful state of deep relaxation.  Often compared to meditation or daydreaming.  It is an opportunity to let go of issues and happenings of the day and focus on the issues that you need help with to resolve.

Is hypnosis safe?

Hypnosis is very safe.  It is very similar to daydreaming.  Scientists, medical professionals and HypnoCounselors have been safely using hypnosis for over 200 years.  The medical professionals have been using hypnosis since 1958 to overcome chronic pain, create anesthesia, and heal psychogenic illnesses.

Can anyone be hypnotized?

Yes, absolutely!!  People are hypnotized everyday and don’t realize what is happening.  This happens when you are driving, reading a book or completely engrossed in a task and lose track of time.   As long as the individual is of reasonable intelligence and can follow instruction then they can be hypnotized.  Even children are able to be hypnotized!

Why would someone seek out a HypnoCounselor?

There are many reasons that someone would turn to hypnosis for help with their everyday life.  Ask yourself, what would I want to improve in my life?  You can use hypnosis to improve your everyday life by becoming more confident, happier, healthier, increasing motivation, etc.  Simply ask yourself if you are happy and satisfied with almost every aspect of your life?  If the answer is no, then call a HypnoCounselor and see if something can be improved upon to turn that answer into YES!
